Carpe Diem

Wanna be Bukowski you're neither cleaver nor free. There's nothing left, your mind's bereft of anything besides tv.
You said I can't play guitar, that I won't get far. But if you don't come to our show well then i guess you'll never know.
Maybe our records won't sell and we'll go to hell. But your integrity's in tatters, Facebook fans are all that matter.
I drink cheap red wine, i find two bottles are fine. It's two for five, my life's a dive but it's all that keep s me alive.

Carpe diem my friend here we go again.
Carpe diem my friend here we go again.
You want fifteen minutes of fame? On my tombstone it may say, Andy Worhol was a whore but me?
I wanna be Bukowski
Bukowski
Bukowski
Bukowski.

So where the cool kids go I just don't wanna know. But for the privilege of their tracks iTunes will never pay them back.
They'll all sell out quick for a couple of quid. Or try to get themselves sucked off by and old ex - x factor kid.
His mother bought him a Jag, claims he loves Black Flag. And do you play the surf guitar, of course you must be Jonny Marr.
I can't afford to eat with the habits I keep, but I tell you I couldn't care less you got no grasp on success.

Carpe diem my friend here we go again.
Carpe diem my friend here we go again.
You want fifteen minutes of fame? On my tombstone it may say, Andy Worhol was a whore but me?
I wanna be Bukowski
Bukowski
Bukowski
Bukowski.

I couldn't pay the door, I'm too fucking poor. They took my bottle of gin and said I couldn't take it in.
I crashed my BM3 through a wall and a tree but I guess the only tragedy's I lost some good cd's.
But the grin sets in as the drinking begins. You won't be winning till you're losing, satisfaction isn't choosing.
And if you'll never be me I don't want you to see. But if you want it you can get it and we'll call it our disease.

Carpe diem my friend here we go again.
Carpe diem my friend here we go again.
You want fifteen minutes of fame? On my tombstone it may say, Andy Worhol was a whore but me?
I wanna be Bukowski
Bukowski
Bukowski
Bukowski.
